Nui Coc Reservoir (Thai Nguyen)
Nui Coc Reservoir is created by an embankment dam in the Cong River (a branch of Cau River) in Phuc Triu commune, Thai Nguyen city. The reservoir was constructed in 1973 ÷ 1982 period.
 Its water storage volume is 176 mil. m3. The main dam is constructed of homogeneous earthfill with maximum height of 27m and crest length of 480m. There are 7 auxiliary dams with maximum height of 12.6m. The spillway consists of 3 gates, each of them is 8m of width. The spillway discharge is 850m3/s (in 1999, the spillway were expanded with more 2 gates to release an additional discharge of 585m3/s). The intake is 195m long with discharge of 30m3/s. Total length of main and primary canal system is 72km.

The reservoir’s duties include irrigating 12,000 ha of cultivated land; supplying living and industrial water with discharge of 40 ÷ 70 mil. m3/year; satisfying requirements of tourism services, resort and fishery development; improving environmental condition.
