ICOLD Chairman’s visit
in the Mekong Delta & the Saigon River
After the “ASIA 2008” Symposium on 10-11 March 2008 in Da Nang City, Prof. Luis Berga, Chairman of ICOLD spent several days for the study tours in the Coastal Area (Central Vietnam) on 12-15 March 2008 & in the Mekong Delta & Saigon River (South Vietnam) on 16-18 March 2008. In South Vietnam, he was warmly welcome by leaders of the Hydraulic Engineering Consultancy No2 (HEC2, Ho Chi Minh City) and the Water Project Management Unit No10 (WPMU10). “...The study tour of the Delta of the Mekong and the Saigon River has been very interesting for me...” He wrote to VNCOLD after his returning back home.
