K-Water to Carry out Joint Research on Mekong River Water Resources Management with 5 Countries
Korea Water Resources Corp. (K-Water) said on Nov. 21 that it will sign a Korea-Mekong water resources management cooperation agreement with the five countries of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam at BEXCO, Pusan on Nov. 28 following the Korea-ASEAN Special Summit.
These countries have decided to establish a joint research center to reduce the number of water disasters and discuss water issues in the Mekong River area and hold high-level meetings to address water disasters in Asia.
